You can now use your iPhone as your Digital ID–here’s how
The Digital ID is essentially a copy of your passport, and has limited availability and use. It currently requires a U.S. passport that has not expired, and once your Digital ID is created, you can only used it in a beta test as your ID for the TSA in about 250 airports, and only for domestic travel.

To show your Digital ID in person, double-click the side button or press the Home button to access Apple Wallet and then select Digital ID. You can then place your iPhone or Apple Watch near an identity reader or scanner, view the requested information, and authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID to proceed.
